Bar Coding 101

Bar codes and their corresponding data structures are the basic building blocks of electronic commerce and will be examined in detail in this half day seminar. Attendees are encouraged to bring actual workable samples of products which may have been identified as having problems and a list of internal issues and concerns for discussion.

Topics will include:

• Number formats: U.P.C. versions 'A', 'E', EAN numbering system
• Number system characters: Fixed weight
• Print quality compliance: Verification process and ANSI standards,
• Mergers & acquisitions: Changing item numbers, reuse of manufacturer I.D. numbers, company name changes.

The focus of this seminar is shipping container codes for case marking. This intensive half day session is designed for those individuals who need to understand the entire case marking concept and how it applies to business within the supply chain.

Registration & Cancellations:

• To register please fill out the following registration form and if no payment is required fax to (416) 510-8043 or e-mail to info@eccc.org If payment is required mail to the ECCC at the address listed on the registration form.
• Confirmations will be sent to each participant 5 days prior to the training session.
• Cancellations are accepted if made at least 7 days prior to the course. Participants will receive full refund but will be subject to a $20 service charge. Participants can also ask for a credit applicable to another training session.
• Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the start date cannot be refunded.
• The ECCC reserves the right to cancel a training session with at least 7 days notice. This includes cancellation due to insufficient registration. The ECCC will then issue a full refund or suggest another session date.
